Jim Duff Music Blog

Growing up in Kentucky, Jim Duff counted the legends of traditional Country music as his heroes. Artists like Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson and Townes Van Zandt made a huge impact on the young songwriter and helped shape his sound. However, music was not his only talent and life took him in another direction for a while.

Jim Duff Country Boy (trying to make a living)

Hello my friends! I hope all is well. I want to let everyone know that I'm working diligently to get my strength back and prepare myself for Texas. I have been on my chemo drugs now for 2 months and even though fatigue try's to take me over at times, all the prayers and positive energy that has been lifted up for me really keeps me going. I want to thank everyone again for all the continued support I have received.
Do me a favor and share this old tune I recorded several years back. This song came from all the hard years working out on the road. The second verses tells the story about one of the times I was working in Houston TX on an old flair tip stack. I'm looking forward to being back down in the great of Texas and playing some new songs. Hopefully, I'll be able to see some old friends.
